ChemCon offers High Containment Operations for the manufacture of cytotoxic and other highly potent APIs. The low occupational exposure limits for such intermediates and products require complete containment and special handling during processing. 

Reflecting recent trends in the pharmaceutical industry, it is estimated that more than 40% of all new APIs fall within that category.

In reaction to the constantly growing worldwide demand of cytotoxic and other highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPIs), ChemCon is adding containment for the manufacturing of HPAPIs in multi-kilogram quantities with OEL levels <0.01µg/cbm. The new multi-purpose isolator train is currently being installed at the company site in Freiburg, Germany. ChemCon expects it to become fully operative in spring 2012.
