ChemCon GmbH is committed to the following principles:

We have been familiar with the topic of sustainability for many years and have already achieved some successes, e.g. through:
- Photovoltaic system for power supply since 2010 with > 25.000 kW/year
- Use of district heating in ChemCon headquarters
- Ecovadis silver partner since 2021
- Special offers for employees: health program, bike leasing, subsidized tickets for public transport
Photovoltaic system at ChemCon GmbH
For more than 10 years, ChemCon has been supplied with electricity by a photovoltaic system on the branch office used as office and warehouse in Freiburg i. Br. The system was connected to the grid in January 2010 and has been generating electricity that is fed into the grid ever since. The photovoltaic system is designed as a 25.2 kW peak system. As of March 2023, the average amount of electricity generated is as follows:
Average per day: 76.70 kWh
Average per month: 2.361,80 kWh
Average per year: 27.994,87 kWh
Total output from Jan. 15, 2010 (start of recording) to March 31, 2023: 369,839 kWh.
Assuming that one kWh means approximately the saving of 627 g CO2, approx. 232 t CO2 were saved during the operation of the ChemCon photovoltaic system.

ChemCon receives Ecovadis silver medal
EcoVadis is a leading independent platform for assessing corporate sustainability performance in various areas such as environment, labor conditions, human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
ChemCon is a member of EcoVadis and has been assessed as such. We are proud to have already been awarded the silver medal in 2021. ChemCon is committed to maintaining the highest standards of sustainability and ESG practices. We are proud to be part of the EcoVadis network and committed to a sustainable future.
