ChemCon recently participated in the JCF Career Day at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, presenting the company at a booth in the foyer of the chemistry building. The event provided students and graduates in chemistry with an excellent opportunity to connect with industry representatives and learn more about potential career paths.
Representing ChemCon were our colleagues Anastasia Ales and Adelina Özder (Human Resources) together with Fritz Wortelkamp (Production). They spoke with many interested students about entry opportunities at ChemCon, different career paths within the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, and the day-to-day work in a GMP-regulated production environment.
A special highlight of the event was the presentation given by Fritz , who shared insights into his recent career start at ChemCon and provided first-hand perspectives on how active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and fine chemicals are produced under GMP conditions.
As a company based in Freiburg, maintaining close connections with the University of Freiburg is particularly important to us. Events such as the JCF Career Day allow us to connect with talented young scientists at an early stage and introduce them to opportunities in the industrial production of APIs and fine chemicals.
Supporting young talent and graduates is an important part of ChemCon’s long-term strategy. Through direct exchange with students, we aim to spark interest in careers in GMP manufacturing and the development of pharmaceutical active ingredients and fine chemicals.
Students and graduates interested in joining ChemCon are warmly invited to apply for our open positions and become part of our team.
We would like to thank the JungChemikerForum Freiburg for organizing this event and look forward to continued exchange with the next generation of chemists.
